DevOps Culture and Practice Enablement (DO500) provides an immersive expertise in DevOps culture, modern software development practices, and modern application development architectures. In this program through teamwork, students will explore foundational DevOps principles and complete hands-on labs that deploy containerized applications with Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform. Students will also learn about and experience many cultural, collaboration, discovery and delivery practices that enables DevOps success. This course is based on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat® Ansible Engine, and Red Hat® Enterprise Linux®.

  • Deploy a small multi-tiered application to an OpenShift cluster.
  • Discover, prioritize, and document desired software features and functionality.
  • Work as an effective member of an agile team.
  • Develop software using pair and mob programming styles.
  • This course is designed for developers, architects, and product owners. 
  • If you’re a product owner with no programming experience, you will be paired with a student developer to help you through the labs.

Course Outline

What is DevOps?
Brainstorm and explore what principles, practices, and cultural elements make up a DevOps model for software design and development.

Pairing and mobbing
Discuss and experience two foundational practices: pair programming and mob programming.

Retrospectives, information radiators, and team sentiment
Examine the value of conducting retrospectives, visualizing work, and assessing team sentiment.

Impact mapping
Discuss the impact mapping discovery practice.

Agile practices
Cover agile practices, including sprint planning, daily standup, showcase, retrospective, and backlog refinement.

Value stream and process mapping
Delve into the practices of value stream mapping and metric-based process mapping.

Continuous integration, deployment, and delivery
Explore the foundational practices of continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous delivery.

Event storming
Learn how to use the event storming discovery practice.

User story mapping and value slicing
Examine the user story mapping, value slicing, and empathy mapping practices.

Automated testing, part 1
Develop an understanding of the test-driven development and business-driven development foundational practices, often referred to as automated testing.

Automated testing, part 2
Complete the automated testing lab begun in part 1.

Pipelines as code
Explore continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines using Jenkins.

Non-functional testing
Discover the merits of non-functional testing.

Build monitoring
Understand how to monitor builds and graphically represent their status as an information radiator.

Demo day

Our live online classes are conducted in the same manner as our classroom classes, using the same manuals and lab equipment. Just as in our classroom classes, each online student is assigned a set of remote lab equipment including an ESXi host and various pre-configured Virtual machines, as the specific class they are attending requires. The students connect to the lab environment using Microsoft’s Remote Display Protocol (RDP) in order to perform the lab exercises. The vast majority of our online students find the class experience equivalent to or better than a classroom delivered class.

Class begins at 9:30 am and ends at 5:30 pm(IST).

Class will be 50:50 mixture of theory and practical. You will get labs and soft copy of courseware from Red Hat.

All our trainers are Red Hat Certified Instructors

You can write exam in any KOALA testing center.

After a candidate passes all the requirements for a certification, Red Hat will email you the result.

Red Hat certifications are valid for three years from your certification date.

After three years, your certification expires. To maintain your certification, you will need to pass the current certification exam, or if applicable, pursue the update path.

We accept all modes of payment. If you are being nominated by your organization, your organization need to release PO before the course start date. If you are an individual you can pay through credit / debit cards, online transfer (RTGS/NEFT) to our account 7 days prior to the course start date.

  • In a highly unlikely event of cancellation of batch from our end, we shall refund 100% that is paid by you. If client choose to cancel for any reasons, below is the terms.
  • If you cancel or reschedule your registration 5 or more calendar days before the scheduled start date of the class – No cancellation charges
  • If you cancel or reschedule your registration less than 5 calendar days before the scheduled start date of the class – cancellation charges 100% of the course fee
  • If you do not show up for the event, or cancel on the day of the event - cancellation charges 100% of the course fee
